Sam Ferranti Latest-Sinatra 100th Anniversary Project

The Sinatra Sextet project is a labour of love. A sumptuous late 50′ classic lounge sound, transcribed by ear from the recordings by one of the countries best arrangers. These arrangements have not been heard live since the broadcast on UK ITV at The Royal Festival Hall in 1962. A superb set of American songbook classics. From the Gershwin's, Cole Porter, Johnny Mercer, Sammy Cahn, Frank Lesser, Rodgers & Hart, Jerome Kern, Lerner and Lowe. Superb musical arrangements from Sinatra's legendary early 60' period. For the sextet of piano, bass, drums, sax/flute, guitar & vibes. This lineup oozes class, the trimmed down arrangements are lighter, more playful, with a hint of jazz. The Sam Ferranti Mad Men sextet musicians, some of the best up and coming talent from the UK jazz circuit. Sam has been on this project for 5 years! A fine complement to The Chairman Of The Board. A fitting celebration, 100 years since Frank Sinatra's birth. The songs are delivered with passion and verve, a swinging affair indeed, Ring-a-ding-ding!
